About this project
A floor-to-ceiling white-oak slat wall behind the living-room sofa. Milled on site so the reveals line up, then finished with a low-sheen hardwax oil.

White oak takes a natural finish beautifully and stays dimensionally stable in a climate-controlled room. Softer woods would telegraph seasonal movement.
